Don’t have the resources.
Don’t have the time.
Don’t have the energy.
Don’t have the education.
People use these as reasons why they are not succeeding in life or why they should just accept their lot / position in the world. Or to justify the poor or low results they are achieving.
You know we are bombarded every day with negative news and information. The 6 o’clock , 10 o’clock news Is always negatively biased. I wondered why this as there are so many good things happing out in the world, why can’t we hear more about them and have more news reports on them ?
The research shows that when they create negative or fear on the news it triggers part of the primitive brain and we as humans focus more on them. Keeping our eyes focused on the TV.
Don’t forget the TV channels need the advertising, there need to keep the audience watching so they can sell more advertising space.
It’s no wonder we have the limiting beliefs in our head suggesting to ourselves that we can’t do things when all we see are the bad things that happening to others.
So how do we change this?
We must change or flip our beliefs from limiting to abundance. Knowing there is plenty enough of something for everyone and that you have the capacity to do anything you set your mind to.
Take yourself away from negative environments. If you work somewhere where all the people are talking about the problems they have or the problems of the world and have a victim or scarcity attitude, then choose not to be in that environment when you don’t have to. Go somewhere in your break that is positive and makes you feel good. Maybe there is a colleague who you can chat to with a more positive outlook .
Also you can start using self-talk, also called affirmations, that reinforce the abundance thoughts and beliefs. Such as:
I have all the resources I need right now.
I have all the time I need.
I have plenty of energy.
My education is exactly where it needs to be right now and I can learn more.
One of the things that really helps with the switch is to write down some of the things you believe about yourself. When you see it written down is sometimes the only way you or your mind will recognize it’s a limiting believe and then you can start do something about it.
Many people in history who believed or could see something that wasn’t there that needed to be had the powerful believe in themselves that they could create that thing that others couldn’t see or thought was impossible.
Steve Jobs saw a thing that should be there that no one thought of. A device that holds 1,000’s of songs that can fit in your pocket !
The Right Brothers believed that they could create a flying machine.
Dr Martin Luther King, believed that black and white people should have the same civil rights.
All of these guys were mocked, told it would never happen, was not possible.
That didn’t stop them from believing it was possible and we all know what happened as a result.
So stop those limiting beliefs and check yourself when you start to have one, switch it to a positive and enabling one and you will see changes.
You will achieve.
You will succeed.
And you will make a positive difference in your world.
